What: Auburn Preeclampsia Awareness Walk & Fun Run

When: Morning of Sat., May 27th

Where: Downtown Auburn to the Whispering Pines on the bike trail and back Breakfast, Registration & Parking: Immaculate Conception Church at 500 E. 7th St., Auburn

Cost: $15 per walker/runner by May 15th and $20 after Breakfast option: $4 Adults, $3 Children over 12 years, and no charge for children under 12 in the immediate family accompanying a paying parent

Distance: 1/2 mile to 6 miles and "walk where ever you may be" options

Why: Preeclampsia, formerly called toxemia, is the most common known pregnancy complication, the leading known cause of prematurity, and it affects as many women and families as breast cancer each year. Proceeds will fund the education and research.
